Subject: Resolution 363 -10 Disallowing Reef Fish Collection for Export
Aloha Council Members,
We believe that this issue should be passed as law to support our reef and open water
ecosystems. Reef fish are critical to the health of our reefs. Over the years the advancement
in collection of reef fish has reduced their number substantially throughout the islands.
Visitors as well as locals enjoy the beauty of snorkeling and diving to see the oceans reefs
and these extraordinary fish and they comment on their reduced numbers. Tropical fish
belong in the ocean, not in a tank!!
