Many members of the aquarium collectors group have fought the idea of the fish replenishment zones. If they can not honor these protected areas for reef fish then they should lose the ability to collect reef fish entirely. The economic impact of the sale of reef fish is inconsequential when compared to the economic impact of tourism which is strongly based on tourist opportunities to snorkel and take dive trips.
