Dear Hawaii Councilmembers,
Thank you for this opportunity. I support this resolution because:
We have laws to protect coral, but no laws to protect reef fish. Put laws in place now
before Hawaii reefs are totally depleted.
Reef fish are critical to reef health, balance, Hawaii's beauty, Hawaii's heritage and the
economy.
Reef fish support both reef and open water ecosystems. They are not ornaments!
Healthy, abundant ecosystems support ALL of Hawai'i's people and visitors - not just a
few. Keep the fish in Hawaii.
Hawaii reefs still stand a chance for recovery if we act now.
