Subject: Please support Resolution 363 -10 Disallowing Reef Fish Collection for Export
Aloha Councilmembers,
Maui County is addressing the depletion of the reef fish population by aquarium collectors as one
facet of the degradation of our reefs.
It is a small step on our island, where the collection is hidden and not viewed as being on the same
scale as the Big Island. Your approach, getting DLNR to recognize that this hurts both the reef and
the tourist dollar, is what we need..state wide.
As a neighbor, I urge you to help us all and pass this resolution!
