SUPPORT - Reso. 363 -10 Disallowing Reef Fish Collection for Export
Aloha Councilmembers,
I'm sorry that I was unable to testify in person due to work commitments. I support this reso
because:
Compromise regulation hasn't worked with fish collectors. I've personally seen fish collectors in an off -
limit fish collecting area.
Full enforcement of the protection of our reef fish has been shown to be necessary. Reef fish are
critical to reef health, beauty and abundance. They are part of the web of life, upon which we all
depend.
Hawai' i must focus on supporting sustainable economics —not businesses that support a few while
hurting the environment and /or a larger sector of the public.
Therefore, I ask that you support this resolution.
