Subject: Support Reso. 363 -10 - Disallow Reef Fish Collection for Export
Aloha Chair Yoshimoto and Council Members!
It's time to completely stop fish collecting in the waters surrounding Hawaii Island. Unfortunately,
the collectors continuously abuse their "rights" under the current rules.
Since the environment is the responsibility for all who live here, it seems that it behooves our
elected County council members to do as much as possible to stop abuse of our environment.
The collection of reef fish for export from Hawaii Island County's coastal waters is inconsistent
with proper environmental practice. I urge you to completely support this Reso. 363 -10 and ask
the DLNR to concur with your position and disallow any form of fish collecting for export.
