Subject: SUPPORT - Resolution 363 -10 Disallowing Reef Fish Collection for Export
Dear Councilmembers,
Thank you for this opportunity. I support this resolution because:
Reef fish are critical to reef health, beauty and abundance. DLNR has determined that species are
disappearing, populations are dropping and aquarium collecting is not sustainable without BOTH
protected areas and limits on what can be taken and how many collectors can take them.
Reef fish support both reef and open water ecosystems.
Healthy, abundant ecosystems support ALL of Hawai'i's people and visitors - not just a few.
Please pass this resolution!!
