Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 271, reports as follows:
Bill No. 271, transmitted jointly with Resolution 370 -10, by Director of Finance Nancy Crawford,
via Communication No. 881, dated July 15, 2010, amends Ordinance No. 10 -59, as amended, the
Operating Budget for the County of Hawai`i for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2011. The
amendment is as follows:

The State of Hawai`i Department of the Attorney General's Crime Prevention and Justice
Assistance Division has provided funds to the Hawai`i Police Department for a Cell Phone /PDA
Violence Grant.
Lt. Lucille Melemai was present to answer any Council Member questions.
Your Committee on Finance is in accordance with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 271 and
recommends it pass first reading.
