Subject: August 18, 2010 Council Meeting
I have been requested to attend the above referenced Council meeting to participate in
the discussion regarding Resolution No. 321 -10 (Paving of Private Roads and Streets).
I regret to inform you and the Council members who requested my presence that I will
not be able to attend the August 18 meeting, as I will be attending a Hawaii Floodplain
Managers Conference on Oahu on August 18 -19, 2010. Currently, there is no one else
in the Department of Public Works qualified to assist in the discussion.
Therefore, I respectfully request that you defer this matter until the next Council meeting,
so that the Department is able to participate in the discussion.
