Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 199-2K, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 199-2K, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication
No. 608, dated December 21, 1999, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from Mr. John W.
Roy.
Mr. John W. Roy has donated $1,000 to the Hawaii Police Department HIPAI, Program.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County. may accept gifrs of donations or personal property.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 199-2K
and recommends its adoption. Your Committee also recommends that a letter of appreciation be
sent to Mr. John W. Roy, of 379 Cheyenne Drive, Westerville, Ohio 43081.
