RESOLUTION NO. 384 10
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION OF
$10,000 TO THE HAWAII POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Nexle, LLC. is providing a $10,000 donation to the Hawaii Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the funds will be used to upgrade the department's website and make it ADA
compliant; and
WHEREAS, it will contain various departmental forms for the public to use and contain critical
information on public safety issues; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council,
on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Police Department recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the
County of Hawaii accepts the $10,000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this resolution be sent
to Nixie, LLC., 3000 Atrium Way, Suite 102, Mt. Laurel, New Jersey 08054, acknowledging this
generous donation.
