Grant Period (Commencement & Completion): April 16, 2009 - June 30, 2010
Goals: Hawaii's communities have the necessary economic, workforce, and
physical capacity for an aging society.
Objectives: In partnership with the public and private sectors, HCOA will provide at
least 9 older individuals training and part-time employment opportunites.
Outcomes or Results: 9 older adults received training and part-time employment through the
SCSEP American Recovery and Reinvestment Act during the grant period; 7,174 total hours
were worked in service to the general community; 1,202 hours or 14% of these community
service assignments were utilized in positions serving the needs of older adults.
