Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a donation of a new boat trailer for the Hawaii Fire
Department from the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation, P.O. Box 1285, Kailua -Kona,
Hawaii 96745. This Windward Boats Inc. Trailer, with a total estimated value of $11,975,
will replace the existing rusted trailer used for Rescue Boat #7 and will provide a safe and
reliable means of transporting it.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Hawaii Fire Department.

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
This donation is offered from the Sayre Foundation to Hawaii Fire Department. The donated trailer is for
Rescue Boat #7 to replace the existing rusted trailer and to provide a safe and reliable means to transport
the rescue boat as needed.

RE: Resolution No. 387 - 10 : A Resolution Authorizing the Acceptance of a Donation of
A New Boat Trailer for the Hawai`i Fire Department
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawai`i, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above - referenced matter be
waived from the Finance Committee to the full Council for immediate action. In the event this
request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Finance
Committee for placement on its future agenda.
