This new comprehensive project shall include but is not limited to: <br /> a. Pahala Volunteer Fire Apparatus Garage <br /> b. Na`alehu Volunteer Fire Apparatus Garage <br /> c. Punalu'u Beach Ocean Safety Tower <br /> d. Ocean View Fire Protection Hydrant installation <br /> These projects are needed to provide for current operations and will greatly improve the delivery of essential <br /> services in the Ka`u District. <br /> The two Volunteer Apparatus garage structures are needed to provide for the adequate storage and security <br /> of assigned vehicles and equipment for the two volunteer fire companies. In addition to the two garages, <br /> funding is requested for the purchase and assembly of a commercially designed and built Ocean Safety <br /> Lifeguard Tower at the Punalu'u Beach Park.
