Subject: An Ordinance Amending Chapter 25 (Zoning), Article 4, of the Hawaii County
Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as Amended), by Adding A New Division Relating to
Tsunami Sirens
Attached for your consideration is a bill for an ordinance amending Article 4 of Chapter 25,
Zoning, of the Hawaii County Code.
In particular, the bill adds to Article 4 a new division relating to installation of tsunami warning
sirens for certain applications for plan approval.
Please place this bill on the appropriate committee agenda for the meetings scheduled for
September 8, 2010.
