Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 615, reports as follows:
Communication No. 615, transmitted by Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, via Communication
No. 615, dated January 3, 2000, nominates Peter P. Muller to serve on the Hawaii County Police
Commission.
Mr. Muller has been the Owner/President of Applied Graphics, Inc. since 1983. He is also active
with the Rotary International and the Pacific Tsunami Museum. Of no political party affiliation.
he will serve a term to end December 31, 2004.
Pursuant to Section 7-2.2, Hawaii County Charter, the Police Commission shall consist of seven
members...appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the council in the manner prescribed in
Section 13-4.
Originally heard on January 21, 2000, this nomination was deferred at the nominee's request
because he was unable to be present at that meeting.
Your Committee on Finance recommends the confirmation of Mr. Peter P. Muller to serve on the
Hawaii County Police Commission.
