RE: Proposed Amendment to Bill 269, Draft 2; as Provided in Communication No. 875.3
At the request of the Director of the Department of Public Works, please see below a proposed
amendment to the draft 2 for Bill 269 as provided in Communication No. 875.3.
The proposed amendment is to subsection (a) of section 17 -13, and reads as follows, with
amendments indicated via Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of the bill as provided in
Communication No. 875.3 (material to be deleted is bracketed and stricken, material to be added
is underscored):
"(a) This chapter shall not be construed to relieve from or lessen the responsibility of
such person owning, operating or installing any [- - • • • - , • - - - ,
- , , . - . , . • - - , .. • - - - ] plumbing, gas, or drainage systems for
damages to anyone injured by any defect therein."
