Kenoi, dated July 7, 2010, presents a Change of Zone Request by applicant Hawaii Island Development Corporation Bill No. 274 seeks to amend Section 25 -8 -7 (North and South Kohala Zone Map), Article 8, Chapter 25 (Zoning Code) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition), by changing the District Classification from Agricultural — 20 Acre (A -20a) and Single - Family Residential — 7,500 square feet (RS -7 5) to Single - Family Residential — 15,000 square feet (RS -15), Single - Family Residential — 10,000 square feet (RS -10), Single - Family Residential — 7,500 square feet (RS -7.5), and Open at Pahoa, North Kohala, Hawaii, covered by Tax Map Key: 5 -5- 019.025 and 027 (portions) for an area approximately 18 38 acres in size There is a concurrent application for amendments to the State Land Use district classification from Agricultural to Urban at Pahoa, North Kohala, Hawaf i, for approximately 12 737 acres of land, covered by Tax Map Key 5 -5 -019 025 and 027 There was no public testimony. Mr. Keith Kato was present at the meeting, representing the applicant. Discussion regarding Bill 274 was combined with its sister -bill, Bill 273 See Planning Committee Report No 90 for summary of discussion.
