Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Resolution No. 380 -10, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 380 -10, transmitted via Communication No. 909 from Mayor William P. Kenoi,
dated July 29, 2010, accepts the grant of a Public Access Pedestrian Easement from Sunstone
Realty Partners V, LLC, for portions of Tax Map Key Nos. 8 -7- 011:001, 016, 025, 026, and 034,
which affects lands within the Kona Sea Ranch Subdivision in South Kona.
There was no public testimony regarding the resolution. Larry Brown, from the Hawai`i County
Planning Department appeared before your Committee to provide information.
Your Committee members expressed concern regarding the nature of a delineated trail, however
relented when informed by Mr. Brown that the trail was a "jeep trail ", and not a historical
walking path.
Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No 380 -10,
and recommends its adoption.
