Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Bill 296, reports as follows:
Bill 296, transmitted by the Director of Public Works Warren H.W. Lee, via Communication
No. 933, dated August 24, 2010, requests amending the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005
Edition, as Amended), Chapter 24, article 10, Division 6 (Loading Zones), Section 24- 288.1,
Schedule 36.1 (Active loading and unloading zones), paragraph (f) Kona, by adding a loading
zone on the south side of Manawale`a Street.
Civil Engineer Aaron Takaba was on hand for Traffic Division Chief Ron Thiel, to answer any
questions.
There was no discussion.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Bill 296, and recommends passage at first reading.
