Aloha County Council- members,
My name is Michelle Galimba and I am a resident of Ka'u.
It is my understanding that: 1) the overwhelmimg majority of the immediately affected landowners actively
support the proposed resolution to authorize the abandonment of a portion of Old Homestead Road in Ka'u, and
2) that this road does not lead to any area in which the general public has an interest. As long as equitable and
convenient access is given to all affected landowners and persons with a legitimate interest in the affected area, I
believe that private maintenance of this road by the landowners is the most financially prudent approach. This
road has not been used as a public road for decades and would require millions of dollars to bring up to county
standards.
