Dear Chair Yoshimoto, Chair Ikeda, and Members of the Hawaii County Council and
Members of the Committee on Planning:
My name is Corinna M. Salmo; I am a Business Agent with the ILWU Local 142, Hawaii
Division here on the Island of Hawaii.
I have reviewed the proposed amendments to the Puna Community Development Plan that
are included in Bill 194 initiated by the County Council on December 18, 2009 and concur
with the Planning Director's favorable recommendation of May 11, 2010 to amend the Puna
Community Development Plan.
I strongly support the proposed amendments to the Puna Community Development Plan
contained in Bill 194 and concur with the Planning Director's favorable recommendation to
amend the Puna Community Development Plan, as those amendments are consistent with
the goals, objectives and policies of the General Plan. Thank you.
