Re: Capital Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance adding the Mid -Level Road (Ane Keohokalole Highway)
project, for $5,000,000, into this fiscal year's Capital Budget. There are the various work
items requested by adjacent property owners, primarily utility lines and other related
improvements that only benefit adjacent properties along the construction area of Ane
Keohokalole Highway. These improvements do not qualify for ARRA funds and are
referred to as non - participating work. The property owners have agreed to pay for their
share of non - participating work.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of Public Works.

A. REQUEST:
An ordinance to amend Ordinance 10 -60 by adding revenue and expenditure CIP appropriations for the Ane
Keohokalole Highway Project also know as the Mid -Level Road project.
Expenditure: Mid -Level Road (Ane Keohokalole Highway) - Private $ 5,000,000
Revenue: Private Contributions $ 5,000,000
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
There are the various work items requested by adjacent property owners, primarily utility lines and other
related improvements that only benefit adjacent properties along the construction area of Ane Keohokalole
Highway. These improvements do not qualify for ARRA funds and are referred to as non - participating work.
The property owners have agreed, to pay for their share of non - participating work. For contracting
purposes, we need to include all non - participating work. These appropriations will record the private portions
and the receipt of the funds.
