RE: Proposed Amendment to Resolution No. 397 -10; Seeking Monetary Assistance in
Combating and Controlling the Coffee Bean Borer
For your consideration, please find below a proposed amendment to Resolution No. 397 -10.
The proposed amendment, illustrated via Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of
Resolution No. 397 -10, reads as follows (material to be deleted is bracketed and stricken
through, material to be added is underscored):
Amending the 4 Whereas clause to read:
"WHEREAS, the loss of coffee as an expanded crop for Hawai`i Island would severely
jeopardize agricultural activity to a point where farming in general [became] becomes untenable;
and"
Due to the limited scope of this proposed amendment, no draft copy is attached.
