Aloha Chair Naeole- Beason,
I live on Maui, not the Big Island, so maybe it is not my place to write to you about
this.
But in case it is OK, I hope you will consider supporting the resolution asking DLNR to
stop allowing the taking of Hawaii's fish for the purpose of keeping them in aquariums.
There are so many threats to our nearshore reefs caused by our lifestyles that to allow
the removal of reef fish for the pleasure and financial gain of a few seems crazy. These
fish are key players in the ecosystem and are needed for so many reasons right where they
are.
