Aloha Chair Naeole- Beason,
Mahalo for considering this resolution.
I have personally seen a decline in colorful fish populations along our
tourist attractive areas of South Maui.
Volunteering at Ulua Beach, Wailea we are asked why there are not as many
in in some cases why there are NO fishes.
Tourists come to enjoy the reef in its natural beauty, with its natural
population of fishes.
Please pass it to protect this threatened natural Hawaiian legacy from the
excesses and wastes of commercial exploitation.
For our childres, and their keiki.
So much is taken - so little given back.
Hawaii's fish do not belong in aquariums - they belong on their reefs.
Please help protect Hawaii's wildlife, reefs and traditions.
