This project provides for the much needed repairs and upgrades to the facilities at Keokea Beach Park which has been out of service to the public since the October 6, 2006 Kiholo Bay earthquake. It will also provide design and construction funds to replace the condemned grandstand structure at Kamehameha Park with a new covered spectator area serving the primary ball fields there. Furthermore, there are additional repair and upgrade efforts required at numerous recreational facilities in the district which this appropriation will attempt to address based on departmental priorities and funding availability. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of Parks and Recreation. 6/41Xi ?C Nancy E.
