This project will allow for the County to foster a collaborative effort with residents of the Kikala- Keokea subdivision to develop a new public park in the Kalapana area. The nearest County parks to this area are Isaac K. Hale Beach Park and 'Ahalanui Beach Park, though both sites are primarily beach parks and lack the infrastructure and amenities commonly associated with neighborhood parks, which is what is envisioned at Kikala- Keokea. The project initially proposes to establish water service to the site via the County's water system, develop basic infrastructure (driveway, parking area, etc.), provide basic park landscaping materials (fill, soil, plants, etc.) and basic park amenities to support community use. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of Parks and Recreation. )11/IA- C14/61 Nancy E.
