No. 220-00 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> TIME: 10:35 A.M. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 220-00, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 220-00, transmitted jointly with Bill No. 212 by Finance Director Harry <br /> Takahashi, via Communication No. 676, authorizes the County of Hawaii Local Emergency <br /> Planning Committee to enter into an agreement with the Hawaii State Emergency Response <br /> Commission for the LEPC grant. <br /> This grant is provided to improve and enhance the County of Hawaii Local Emergency Planning <br /> Committee's hazardous materials emergency management planning and preparedness <br /> capabilities. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, county departments must obtain the consent <br /> of the council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to <br /> <br /> be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend and receive any funds <br /> or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those <br /> <br /> powers. <br /> <br /> An amendment was made to Resolution No. 220-00 to add diacritical marks to the word Hawaii. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 220-00, <br /> as amended to Draft 2, and recommends its adoption. <br /> smc <br /> Hues Noes a&e ex Respectfully submitted <br /> CHUNG X <br /> ELARIONOEP x COM TEE ON FINANCE <br /> JACOBSON X <br /> LEITHEAD-TODD X <br /> PISICCHIO X <br /> SMITH X ~ <br /> TvLEB x AARON S.Y.
