RESOLUTION NO. 413 10
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL'S SINCERE
GRATITUDE TO COUNCIL MEMBER GUY K. ENRIQUES, FOR HIS YEARS OF
SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, Guy K. Enriques has represented Council District 6, Puna (Kurtistown,
Mt. View, Volcano), Ka`u (Pahala, Na`alehu, Hawaiian Ocean View Estates), and South Kona
(Miloli`i, Ho`okena, portions of Honaunau) since December 2008; and
WHEREAS, during these past two years, Council Member Guy K. Enriques has
participated on all Standing Committees and served as the Chair of the Committee on Public
Safety and Parks and Recreation (2008- 2009), Chair of the Committee on Public Works and
Intergovernmental Relations (2009 -2010) and Vice Chair of the Committee on Planning (2008-
2010); and
WHEREAS, Council Member Guy K. Enriques has consistently and unwaveringly
demonstrated personal dedication, leadership, integrity, commitment to excellence, and
outstanding public service to his constituents and to the general public throughout the County of
Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Guy K. Enriques will complete his term of office at Noon
on Monday, December 6, 2010, having compiled an exemplary attendance and voting record for
all Council meetings held during his years in office; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it
hereby extends its sincere gratitude to Council Member Guy K. Enriques for his years of service,
and offers its best wishes for his continued health, success, and prosperity.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawai`i transmit a true
copy of this resolution to Council Member Guy K. Enriques.
