Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred 677, reports as follows:
Communication No. 677, transmitted by AI Smith, Vice President for the Hawaii State
Association of Counties (HSAC), dated February 28, 2000, submits the proposed HSAC Annual
Budget for fiscal year 2000-2001.
Pursuant to the By Laws of the Hawaii State Association of Counties, Section 17 Budget, the
executive committee shall prepare and submit to each Council an operating budget. The budget
shall present a complete financial plan for the current operations of the corporation in the
ensuing fiscal year, which will be shared commonly and equally by all Councils.
The HSAC proposed budget for fiscal year 2000-2001 is $59,382.48. The following are
assumptions and changes:
I. Interest Income projection same as last FY.
2. Conference Income to increase $2,000.
3. HSAC Dues will increase by $250 per county.
4. Fund Balance is estimated at $22,082.48.
5. Auditing/Accounting will remain the same.
6. NACo Dues to increase by 2.8%.
7. WIR Travel decreased $1,000 due to 2001 WIR Conference to be he?d Kona,
Hawaii.
8. New 2001 WIR Conference account incorporated due to Hawaii hosting
conference.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Communication No. 677
and recommends its approval.
