RESOLUTION NO. 415 10
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL'S SINCERE
GRATITUDE TO COUNCIL MEMBER EMILY I. NAEOLE, FOR HER YEARS OF
SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, Emily I. Naeole has represented Council District 5, Puna Makai (Hawaiian
Paradise Park, Ainaloa, Pahoa Village, Hawaiian Beaches, Hawaiian Shores, Nanawale, Leilani,
Kapoho, Kalapana, `Opihikao, Kehena, Pohoiki) since December 2006; and
WHEREAS, during these past four years, Council Member Emily I. Naeole has
participated on all Standing Committees and served as the Vice Chair of the County Council
(2009- 2010), and Chair of the Committee on Human Services and Economic Development
(2006 - 2010); and
WHEREAS, Council Member Emily I. Naeole has consistently and unwaveringly
demonstrated personal dedication, leadership, integrity, commitment to excellence, and
outstanding public service to her constituents and to the general public throughout the County of
Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Emily I. Naeole will complete her term of office at Noon
on Monday, December 6, 2010, having compiled an exemplary attendance and voting record for
all Council meetings held during her years in office; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it
hereby extends its sincere gratitude to Council Member Emily I. Naeole for her years of service,
and offers its best wishes for her continued health, success, and prosperity.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawai`i transmit a true
copy of this resolution to Council Member Emily I. Naeole.
