Aloha. Chair Yusliiiuoto and Members ofthc Hawaii County Council:
Subsequent to my testimony at your Public Hearing yesterday at the Sheraton I auhou,. i
developer Forest City was given an opportunity to answer /address concerns raised by tha public.
The developer claims that almost all of the exemptions they are requesting from Hawaii County
Code are necessary to meet requirements of the Kona Community Development Plan (KCDP).
If this is so, how would a non -201H project meet KCDP requirements?
ire understand the appropriate niechonisni to meet .K.CDP requirements is Project District
Zoning. In fact, Forest City has filed a Project District Zoning application with the County of
Hawaii for Kainakana Vi11a. i s.
Accordingly, we humbly ask you to consider whether or not granting of the requested
exemptions is truly necessary for the timely and successful implementation of &amakana
Villages.
- Mahalo again tor this opportunity to snare our concerns.
Very truly yours,
LeeAnn Crabbe
