Subject: $56 Million Bond
Since this island already has accumulated close to a $300,000 deficit, I would not be
in favor of adding another $56 million to that debt. It is a well known fact that
every construction project run by the county has major cost and time over runs.
I object to not knowing what project the Major wanted to fund and what the
budget for those project would be. Why not hold some public hearings so
the public will know how the Major plans to spend the $56 million.
Please wait until the new elected officials take office before considering taking on a debt of this size.
