Re: Westlaw subscription renewal information (Resolution 14 -10)
We have been offered several options to renew our Westlaw research service agreement
which expires on December 31, 2010. We seek your approval to renew our agreement for three
years for WestlawNext which will provide the most current researching capability for our
deputies and will lock in subscription rates for significant savings over the three year period.
Total annual cost summary:
WestlawNext —
1-year - $34,020 (10% increase)
2 -year - $34,344, $36,405 (8% increase year 1, 6% increase year 2)
3 -year - $34,344, $38,021, $37,812 (8% increase year 1, 5% increase 2 and 3)
Westlaw (regular) —
1-year - $34,980 (7% increase)
2 -year - $33,780 (6% increase)
3 -year - $33,390, 35,059, $36,813 (5% increase)
