Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a monetary donation of $1,600 from Target, 74 -5455
Makala Blvd., Kailua -Kona, Hawai'i, 96740. These funds are being given to support the
Hawai'i Police Department's Kona Community Policing Section and will be used to purchase
tactical bike patrol equipment, which will allow the department to expand their bike patrol J unit.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the
funds into the Police Administration Division's OCE account.

A. REQUEST:
To accept a donation of $1,600.00 from Target to purchase tactical bike patrol equipment under account
number 010 - 201 - 5203.02.235.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Target is donating funds to be used to purchase tactical bike patrol equipment such as nylon duty belts,
tactical holsters, nylon cuff cases and nylon pouches. The additional equipment will allow the department to
expand their bike patrol unit by providing the necessary equipment for the Officers to perform their job duties.
