OPPOSE Bill 311, please

Aloha Chairman Yoshimoto and Councilmembers!
I hope you will vote down this Bill, if you absolutely must take action on it, Tuesday.
Calling a special meeting makes me think that some of you are trying to push this down the
taxpayers' throats, since you won't be up for re- election again. This is definitely NOT
the time to be adding further debt to the County's taxpayers. Mayor Kenoi should not be
trying to do this either. None of the projects that he has listed, are vital. Most would
be really nice, incl. the La'aloa Extension, which is in my neighborhood, however, it is
NOT important enough to be saddled with this huge bond, at this stressful economical time.
Please make responsible decisions for this Bill 311 by voting against it -- even if you
voted for it last time.
And then, call for a public hearing, so the new Councilmembers will get a true sense from
their constituents as to what is needed and wanted.
