Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 224, reports as follows:
Bill No. 224, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 699,
dated March 9, 2000, amends Ordinance No. 99-71, as amended, the Capital Budget ending
June 30, 2000. The amendment is as follows:
POLICE DEPARTMENT:
Microwave Relocation and System Renovation 110-299-5299.29-115 $8,000,000
Funds for this project(s) shall be provided from:
General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund - $1,040,000
Fund Balance and/or Other Sources
The original appropriation of $6,960,000 is being increased by $1,040,00 to total $8,000,000.
The additional funds are needed to cover increased costs for land acquisition, equipment
purchases and construction in relation to upgrading the Police Department's 2ghz analog system
to a 6ghz digital system.
For informational purposes, Mr. Curtis Tyler, Ms. Nancy Pisicchio and Ms. Julie Jacobson voted
kanalua twice.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 224 and
recommends it pass first reading.
