Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a monetary donation of $1,400 from the American
Resort Development Association (ARDA), 1201 15 Street, NW Suite 400, Washington,
DC 20005. These monies will be used by the Department of Parks and Recreation to
provide educational and athletic opportunities for children in grades five to eight, who are
unable to participate because they exceed the program's weight restrictions.

Recreation.

A. REQUEST:
To accept and acknowledge a donation of cash to support the Big Kids Hawai'i program (BKH). BKH was
created to provide educational and athletic opportunities for boys and girls in grades five to eight who are
unable to participate because they exceed the programs weight restrictions.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Council action is being requested to accept and acknowledge a donation of $1,400 by American Resort
Development Association (ARDA).
