RE: Grant of Easement
Enclosed is a resolution, which authorizes the Finance Director to grant an easement for
water meter box purposes, to the Water Board of the County of Hawai'i. The Church of
Latter Day Saints (LDS) constructed new classrooms at their Honoka'a Ward site located
at 45-3259 Hawai'i Belt Road, Honoka'a Hawai'i (TMK (3) 4-5-003:069). Building permit
requirements included the installation of a new water line and hydrant to service the
additional facilities. LDS requested an easement from the County of Hawai'i to place a
water meter box on a portion of the County's parcel, identified as TMK (3)4-5-003:018.
The easement will be in favor of the Water Board of the County of Hawai'i, and will assist
LDS to comply with building code requirements for the new classroom facilities.

A. REQUEST:
Prepare County Council submittal authorizing the Finance Director to grant an easement for water meter box
purposes to the Water Board of the County of Hawaii.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Church of Latter Day Saints (LDS) constructed new classrooms at their Honoka'a Ward site located at
