SUBJECT: Discussion with Corporation Council on Procedures and Voting to Waive
Attorney - Client Privilege
I request a discussion between the Council and Corporation Counsel regarding the procedures to
waive Attorney - Client privilege, how many votes it requires, how long the privilege remains,
whether a new council can waive the privilege of a past council's vote or non - returning council
member's vote to retain privilege, and any other concerns on this issue.
I request that this matter be placed on the council agenda in Executive Session for January 5,
2011.
