Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 232, reports as follows:
Bill No. 232, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 231-00 by Finance Director
Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 707, dated March 10, 2000, amends Ordinance
No. 99-70, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2000. The amendment is as
follows:

3305.13 State Grants -COPS Alcohol Prevention General $5,568
To:
010-201-5219.75 COPS Alcohol Prevention General $5,568
These funds, from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Cancer Research Center of Hawaii,
Prevention and Control Program, will be used to conduct a covert operation to decrease the
means by which juveniles obtain alcohol.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 232 and
recommends it pass first reading.
