Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 233, reports as follows:
Bill No. 233, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 711,
dated March 17, 2000, amends Ordinance No. 99-70, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending
June 30, 2000. The amendment is as follows:

The United States of America, through the Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs,
has authorized funding for computers, printers, software, and related materials to improve and
enhance communication between their offices, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, and other
agencies.
Resolution No. 37-99 has already been approved authorizing the Mayor to enter into an
agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 233 and
recommends it pass first reading.
