Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 26/ Bill No. 4, reports
as follows:
Bill No. 4, transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi, via Communication No. 26, dated December
10, 2010, is an Ordinance amending the State Land Use Boundaries Maps for the County of
Hawaii by changing the district classification from the Agricultural to the Urban District at
Kahuku, Ka`u, Hawaii, covered by Tax Map Key 9 -2- 082:002.
The applicant was not present.
Councilmember Smart, representative of the subject area, stated that she did not see a problem
with the request and was in support of it.
Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill 4, and recommends
it pass first reading.
