Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 26/ Bill No. 5, reports
as follows:
Bill No. 5, transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi, via Communication No. 26 dated December
10, 2010, is an Ordinance amending Section 25 -8 -28 (Ka`u District Zone Map), Article 8,
Chapter 25 (Zoning Code) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition),by changing the
District Classification from Agricultural -One Acre (A -1a) to Industrial - Commercial Mixed- 3
Acres (MCX -3a) at Kahuku, Ka`u, Hawaii, covered by Tax Map Key 9- 2- 082:002.
There was no discussion.
Your Committee on Planning is in accordance with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 5 and
recommends it pass first reading.
