Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 27/ Bill No. 6, reports
as follows:
Bill No. 6, transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi, via Communication No. 27 dated December
10, 2010, is an Ordinance amending Section 25 -8 -33 (City of Hilo Zone Map), Article 8, Chapter
25 (Zoning Code) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition),by changing the District
Classification from Single Family Residential - 10,000 square feet (RS -10) to Neighborhood
Commercial- 20,000 square feet (CN -20) at Waiakea, South Hilo District, Hawaii, covered by
Tax Map Key 2- 2- 025:022.
Council Chair Yagong stated that this request would allow more parking for a much needed
Dialysis Facility and that he fully supports it.
Your Committee on Planning is in accordance with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 6 and
recommends it pass first reading.
