No. 1001 /Bill No. 324 <br />PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa (2008-2010) <br />78 -128 `Ehukai Street <br />Kailua -Kona, HI <br />TIME: 11:26 a.m. <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawaii County Council <br />Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 324, reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 324, transmitted by Director of Finance Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 1001, dated <br />November 1, 2010, amends Ordinance No. 10 -60, as amended, the Capital Budget, ending June 30, 2011 <br />by adding the following project: <br />ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT: <br />Kailua Recycling and Transfer Station Repairs and <br />Enhancements <br />(110.699.5696.36) <br />$ 250,000 <br />Funds for this appropriation increase shall be provided from <br />General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund - <br />Fund Balance and /or Other Sources $ 250,000 <br />Department of Environmental Management Director Frank DeMarco and Acting Solid Waste Division <br />Chief Terin Gloor appeared before Your Committee to provided additional details. This project meets the <br />Fair Share eligibility criteria and has been approved by the Planning Director. Such improvements <br />benefit the community by addressing public health and safety needs and providing adequate services by <br />repairing or replacing existing deteriorated facilities which are utilized in this growing community.
