No. 31 Bill No. 10 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 10, reports as follows: <br />Bill 10, transmitted jointly with Resolution 17 -11, by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via <br />Communication No. 31, dated December 6, 2010, amends Ordinance No. 10 -59, as amended, the <br />Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2011. The amendment is as follows: <br />From: <br />3308.71. Federal Grant — Department of Public <br />Works GPS Units Highway $ 20,350 <br />020.281.5281.09 Department of Public Works GPS Units <br />Highway $ 20,350 <br />The State of Hawaii Department of Transportation — State and Community Highway Safety <br />Program, has authorized funding for the Department of Public Works GPS Units grant to <br />implement safety improvement projects based on trends in crash frequency, rate and location <br />information. The Hawaii County Police Department will obtain crash data; which will be <br />processed by the Department of Public Works Traffic Division with their RoadSoft GIS software <br />to generate crash trend reports for project planning. <br />Pursuant to Section 46 -7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13 -13 (b), Hawaii County <br />Charter, the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for the <br />Department of Public Works GPS Units Grant. <br />There was no discussion on this matter. <br />FC Rept.
