The Office of Aging is supporting efforts of the Hawai'i Fire Department to continue their Project Lifesaver Program, that began in 2007. Project Lifesaver is a national program that allows older individuals, affected by dementia and at risk for wandering, to remain in their homes rather than being institutionalized.
