Re: Resolution Transferring Funds
Enclosed is a resolution transferring $10,000 out and from the Hawaii County Office of
Aging's Area Plan on Aging OCE account and crediting it to a new Office of the
Prosecuting Attorney's account entitled "Elder Abuse Awareness Training ". The Office
of Aging is supporting efforts of the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to bring Elder
Abuse Awareness Training to the Island of Hawai'i . The training, to be conducted by
the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, is being planned for law enforcement,
government workers, and community members. It is intended to promote
understanding of the dynamics associated with elder abuse.

REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
Requesting a resolution to transfer $10,000.00 from Office of Aging account #010.411.5411.10.115 to
Hawaii County Prosecuting Attorney Office account entitled Elder Abuse Awareness Training, conducted by
the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Hilo and Kona.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Office of Aging is supporting efforts of the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to bring Elder Abuse Awareness
Training to Hawai'i Island. The training is being planned for June 22 -23, 2010 in Hilo and June 24 -25, 2010
in Kona for law enforcement, government workers and community members to help promote understanding
of the dynamics associated with elder abuse.
